I must apologize for the lack of blog posts lately. My full time career, caring for my two children, and some new updates that I want to bring to The Crohn’s Colitis Effect plus The IBD Round Table Discussion has made it hard for me to bring some new content to the blog. So I thought I’d write a quick blog post now and just give you a few updates on what I’ve been up to….
New Links On The Website
You might have noticed that there are links in the footer of the website. The links go to other IBD related websites that I find extremely valuable. If you haven’t visited those sites before, I highly suggest you do! Today I added two new sites to the list that I’d like to tell you about:
The first is Behind The Times from Stephen Dempster. Stephen was one of the first people that I met on Google+ when I started The Crohn’s Colitis Effect. He also helps to moderate my IBD support group on Google+ called Crohn’s and Colitis Community. When checking out Behind The Times make sure you have a look at Stephen’s 5-M Theory. You’ll find a tab for it at the top of the site in the main menu.
The second is Keeping Things Inside Is Bad For My Health by Marisa Troy. It might sound bias coming from me, but Marisa is one of the most courageous, strong, and wonderful women that I know. Her blog is a great source and wealth of information for those living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. The experiences that Marisa shares come straight from her heart! You are instantly left feeling a strong connection along with feeling like you are not alone in this struggle.
Updates to The IBD Round Table Discussions
I have to say that I’m extremely lucky to be working with Sarah Chouiery, Christina Matthies, and Sara Ringer on this show! They are so much more to me than just three co-hosts. They are great friends and three people I consider family besides being great advocates for IBD. While I’m happy with the content we are bringing to the show, I’m always looking for ways that I can improve and make it even better. I’m currently working on a few things to be able to bring YOU, our faithful and wonderful viewers, to be more of a part of the show. As soon as I have more of these upgrades / improvements in place, I’ll be sure to update you!
As more time permits, and hopefully that will be very soon, I’ll have more blog updates for you! Until then, I wish you all good health! Remember… Knowledge Is Power!
